Abstract In this article I examine the moral dimensions of gender-affirmation. argue that value gender-affirmation is rooted in what Iris Murdoch called loving attention. Loving attention central to because such affirmation otherwise too fragile or insincere have value. Moral reasons engage acts gender-affirm derive from commitment give and express trans people as a way challenging their marginalization. latter part article, will discuss how my arguments bear on recent by Robin Dembroff Daniel Wodak use gender-neutral language (Dembroff 2018).
